Can we create a demo on WordPress without paying for domain name?

    Hi, I’ve just created an account on WordPress and it looks like I have to pay in advance to get a domain name before I can create anything on my site. Is there any chance I can design on my site first and pay for the domain name later? Thanks!

    You can create a new WordPress.com site without register a domain, yes.

    All sites on WordPress.com get a free .wordPress.com address when the site is created, that functions just like any regular subdomain, and your site is fully online and accessible at that subdomain (provided you set it to public).

    So you can experiment and build your site at that free address, even upgrade the site while still using the free address, and only register a domain once you’re ready to launch your site.
