Can WordPress host a site when the domain came from an another

  I was wondering if I will be able to use my domain that I purchased through godaddy.com but use WordPress to host the site

  if you’d like to map the domain to a site on our server, you can use these steps:
  Connect an Existing Domain to a WordPress.com Site

  As a summary, after selecting your site, choose a plan here:
  https://wordpress.com/plans

  Next choose to connect the domain: https://wordpress.com/domains

  Then point your domain to these name servers:
  ns1.wordpress.com
  ns2.wordpress.com
  ns3.wordpress.com

  If you need to add other DNS settings before you do that, you can:
  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/custom-dns/
