Can WordPress point my domain to my hosting site before domain is transferred?

  I created a free WordPress blog and registered my domain on April 8th. However, I found that I could not use plugins – like Disqus – unless I got my blog hosted outside of WordPress. So I signed up for GoDaddy, but then found out that I couldn’t transfer my domain until 60 days after I first registered it. GoDaddy technical support suggested that in the meantime, I contact WordPress to see if they could point my domain to their domain name service before the 60 days or up, and then complete the transfer then. He gave me the name of Goddady’s domain name servers and said to give them to WordPress.

  This is all a little over my head, but can anyone here help me? Is what Goddady suggested possible, and if so, will it help my initial problem? (Not being able to use plugins like Disqus.)

  Sure. You can do it yourself. It is not difficult at all.
