Can you add syntax highlighting for the Swift programming language?
-
WordPress.com hosted blogs do not support syntax highlighting for the Swift programming language (see http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/posting-source-code/), but several plug-ins can enable it for self hosted blogs (https://wordpress.org/plugins/syntaxhighlighter-evolved-swift-brush/).
It would be even better if it was possible to manually upload SyntaxHighlighter brushes to your own blog so everyone could get syntax highlighting for whatever language they are writing about.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
WordPress.com uses Alex Gorbatchev’s SyntaxHighlighter project for syntax highlighting. If you’d like to see more languages (like Swift) supported here at WordPress.com, I’d recommend getting in touch with Alex directly so support can be added directly there (and thus enjoyed by more WordPress users everywhere). :)

The recommended place to vote for new languages to be bundled with the project (http://www.undermyhat.org/blog/2009/09/list-of-brushes-syntaxhighligher/) hasn’t had a new comment in 3 years. I added a comment, but now it is gone. I checked the GitHub page but there is no place there to vote.

Thanks for letting me know. I passed your suggestions on to our developers so they can consider updating the syntax highlighting here at WordPress.com separately.
