  Hello there, your public display name will show on your site and when you leave comments on your and other WordPressdotcom sites, but here in the forums your username will always display. Usernames are unique while display names are not.

  If you want to change your public display name, you can do that in your Profile at https://wordpress.com/me under Public Display Name.
