  No problem I just heard that blogging can be lucrative, just wanted to know a little more about that.

  You aren’t allowed to initiate advertising at all on any WordPress.com blog. You need to hire a web host and set up your own WordPress.ORG install to run ads.

  If you require other advertising, you might be interested in a self-hosted (WordPress.org) installation.   I would very much doubt that you can make money on WordPress.com, speaking from a decade of professional blogging. For one thing, it’s a highly competitive industry. For another, you have to write really, really well in English.
