  I need help canceling my account. I am unable to do so through the Settings area in the website nor does the Help / Contact Us form work. Have tried multiple browsers over multiple days/weeks. Thanks.

  To close your account, you first need to cancel your plan and domain. Please go to the following page to do so:

  https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

  Thank you for the response – when I try either of those I get an error that says “There was a problem canceling WordPress.com Personal. Please try again later or contact support”.

  I’ve tried IE and Chrome browsers with no luck. Also am unable to get the Contact Us form to work.

  Hi there,

  I can definitely cancel the domain subscription for you.

  So that we are on the same page, once you decide to cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it.

  If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site
