  I just completed some of my details to join up but thought it was for free as basically friend has a blog which I wish to read.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  WordPress.com is completely free to use, yes, and you have not paid us for anything or even provided us with billing info. All that is required to use WordPress.com is an email address. We only ask for payment and collect additional personal info if you choose to upgrade a site in your account to one of our paid plans, and you have not done that.
