Cancel auto renew of WordPress.com Premium but keep Domain
-
Hi, my blog is now a wordpress.org blog. I would like to stop WordPress.com Premium from auto renewing but still keep the domain registered at wordpress.com. How do I go about renewing just the domain?
Thanks.

Hi there, you can disable auto-renew under Store > My Upgrades, by clicking “Disable Auto Renew.”

Since you’re no longer running a WordPress.com site, if you’d like, I could cancel your Premium bundle on dererstedotcom.wordpress.com now. Once I do that you’ll be able to pay for your domain separately when it comes up for renewal. Just let me know if you’d like me to do that.

Hi Kathryn, thank you for your reply. I have clicked on “Disable Auto Renew”.
I now want to renew my domain before it expires, however I am unable to do this.
This is the Subscription Status of my domain at the moment:
“Status: Domain included in WordPress.com Premium
This upgrade will expire in 3 months on September 22, 2013DNS needs to be updated | Cancel Private Registration | Cancellation Info”
Am I able to pay for the renewal of my domain straight afterwards? Or is there a certain timeframe before expiration for me to do this?
Thanks for your help.

Manual upgrade renewals can be made in the 30 days prior to expiry – the “Enable Auto Renew” button will turn into a renewal button.
Could you also please confirm whether you’d like me to cancel your Premium bundle now so you can renew your domain separately when it comes time? Thanks!

Yes, please cancel my Premium bundle now, thanks for your help in clarifying my questions.

I’ve gone ahead and cancelled the Premium bundle on dererstedotcom.wordpress.com. Just let me know if you need further help.
