Cancel Premium Plan (and mapping)

    Hi, I’ve just cancelled the premium plan, which I paid 99usd for, but the refund notice had 86usd amount due. Should the mapping piece should be refunded as well? Any additional step from my side is needed to get the 99usd refunded?

    Not a problem! I have canceled your subscription for Domain Mapping and refunded the charges back to you. It can take between 7-10 business days for the refund to reflect on your bank statement.

    Hi! I cancelled my premium plan; as well as, removed my domain name (StyledbyKourt.com). However, I’m only being refunded $73 of the $99 that was paid. I only had the plan for three (3) days and I would like to purchase my domain through another hosting site. Is it possible for me to be refunded the full price and how can I resolve my domain being parked?

    Hey there,

    If you’re wanting to use your domain at a different host, you should never cancel it at your current host – once you decide to cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it. Also, it usually takes a few weeks for your domain registration to clear and become available once you cancel it. There isn’t an exact time, however, so you’ll be checking consistently to see when it becomes available.

    If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site

    If you recently registered the domain, you have to wait 60 days before you are able to transfer your domain to a different host, but in the meantime, you can use the domain with your site by pointing the nameservers over to your new host:

    I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore the domain back to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back.

    Quick question: why am I paying for the domain again. I already paid on the 23rd for this domain and have not been refunded for it.

    Because when you canceled your Premium Plan, you also canceled your domain subscription and was refunded the entire amount. So, you’ll need to repurchase the domain subscription.
