Canceling domain and web hosting

Hi, I am not renewing my domain name or web hosting. What will happen with the back end of my WP site? Thanks!

Hi there,
This is a question for your hosting provider – we have no control at all over either your domain or your site. You have the site connected to your WordPress.com account via the Jetpack plugin, but that only gives you the ability to manage your site via your account with us. Your site itself is not on our servers.
That said, if you let your domain expire your site will no longer be reachable, and if you let your hosting expire, your host will likely take your site offline. Whether or not there’s a grace period before they do that, and how long it takes before they completely delete all files and backups for your site from their servers, will depend on your specific host and hosting plan, so please contact them directly for more details on this.
