Canceling domain registration

  Hi WordPress Staff,

  I’ve been trying to find a way to get my domain cancelled and it seems like my best bet is through the forums.

  Could a staff member help me out?

  Hi there,

  Sure thing! What domain do you want to cancel?

  Please keep in mind that canceling a domain means you give up ownership of that domain name. The domain name may not be released immediately, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to register it again in the future.

  If you’d like to keep the domain and use it somewhere else, you can transfer it instead: Transfer a Domain to Another Registrar

  (You can also get help with this sort of thing on our contact page, rather than posting directly in the forums, if you prefer.)

  Ok! I cancelled that domain so you’re all set with that. You can still access that site using its free WordPress.com address: http://vlrtech.wordpress.com/

  Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
