Canceling service without log in credentials. Need to talk to someone

    Help! I need to cancel a subscription service which is on automatic renewal and I don’t have his log in credentials – only his email address. The subscription is on pricey at $344

    I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

    I inquired yesterday and received a response, however, it wasn’t helpful to me. My son apparently has an account and I was billed an automatic renewal for something for corpse softworks for $344.63. He is in a treatment program and unable to be contacted. How can I get this service canceled? All I have is the transaction ID, his email address, the date of the charge and the amount. All the help site offers is ways to cancel service provided you have his login credentials which I don’t. Thanks for your help. And, because I don’t have log in credentials with a premium service or anything, live chat isn’t available to me.

    Once logged in under the correct account, you can cancel the site’s plan from https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

    I need to cancel my son’s account, but don’t have his log in credentials. Please help me.

    He signed up in 2020 for something called corpsesoftworks. Unfortunately, my American Express card is on his profile, and it automatically renewed his subscription of $344.63 back on 10/24. I didn’t recognized charges and worked with Am Exp to determine at last what they were. WordPress communicated back to AmExp they were valid and supplied several pages of documentation to call out how well they communicate renewals and how easy it is to cancel subscription services and participate in live chat.

    That’s maybe true, but only if you have log in credentials to start with. Additionally, the renewal notices went to his email which I have no access to. I have tried working with the only options available to me – AmExp to dispute the charge, and WordPress’ public forum (which is the only platform available to customers without log in credentials, and of who also can’t discuss any billing info)….

    So now, I come to you.

    Here is the info I have:

    Transaction ID from AmExp Statement: WORDPRESS
    Trans Date – 10/24/2021
    Amount – $344.63
    email address for account (my son’s email) (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    The last 4 digits of my credit card (on file)

    Please help me. I want to cancel my son’s account, and also received the prorated share of the subscription credited back to my AmExp card.

    I followed the instructions below from macmanx but was unable to get an email to my (email visible only to moderators and staff) account – inbox or spam folders – when resubmitting the message on the account recovery page said the website I gave didn’t exist. I have been at this a few days now and getting increasingly frustrated I can’t get access to a live chat option or anything. I also reached out to both Paypal and Swipe for billing assistance and have come up dry.

  • Hi! I can see you’re having some trouble with this, and also trouble with replying to forum threads vs creating new ones. I’m going to go ahead and send an email and see if we can loop the billing team in on this.
