Cancellation and Charge for bridges.com
-
Hi WordPress,
My credit card was automatically charged yesterday for domain name bridgesof.com. This was a second site I had paid for, but never used, and I cancelled the account yesterday. The charge has not yet gone through, and I talked to my bank, but I have not disputed the charge through them; I was hoping you could cancel the charge? Would be easier that way.
In the process of cancelling the bridges.com domain, it mentioned a $20 refund, but the charge was for $48. Why the discrepancy?
I have another blog site, seasonsoflife185.wordpress.com, and my intention is to eventually set up a paid domain, but I’d like to choose the name for that myself, hence the cancelling of bridges.com
Please cancel the $48 charge. Thank you!

Hi there,
You cancelled your personal plan, but not the domain, bridgesof.com. The amount that has not been refunded is the cost of the domain.
Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future. You should only cancel a domain if you’re completely sure you no longer want it at all.
Please confirm if you’re certain you want to cancel the domain as well, and I can refund the remaining amount to you.

Hi Kokkieh! Sorry, I haven’t seen this email until now! Seems I am not very proficient in doing what I intend to do! THE CANCELLATION WAS FOR THE DOMAIN NAME BRIDGESOF.COM! I never developed the site. The personal plan was always intended for the seasonsoflife185.wordpress.com site, but I don’t seem to have gotten that right either! PLEASE CANCEL the domain name bridgesof.com! And now I have just missed all the Black Friday special offers for WordPress plans!!! I thought I had one on the seasons of life site, but evidently not. Ah, well!
Kind regards,
Monica Ingamells
