If you delete a WordPress.com account, you will need to wait for 30 days before the data is purged, at which point, you can use the same email address to create a new account.
A deleted WordPress.com address will not become available again. So we advise against deleting a site if you wish to use it in the future.
A canceled domain goes through a lengthy process and you risk losing a domain permanently if it’s canceled. So if you have a domain registration, you shouldn’t cancel it if you wish to use it in the future.
