Cancellation of domain

Hello
I just bought a personal plan and created a domain three days ago. Subsequently, I realized that it is not wp.com but wp.org that works best for me. I unsubscribed my personal plan but my domain remained still reserved though. I would like to have this domain released to be able to use it again. Thank you so much beforehand for your help!

Thank you for you fast response! That’s odd, because while looking for this domain in various domain searchs it appears to me not available for a year from now. The domain concerned is ‘finnishspirit.com’.

If you own this domain, it can be pointed to your WordPress.org site from the Domains section of your Google Admin Console.

Oh really, actually the same day I activated a new e-mail address which is precisely this. This is great, I didn’t even realize this! Does it mean that I have my domain already purchased with google now, and for my website with wp.org I only need a hosting?

If you registered the domain through Google, you’re all set :) Hosting would be the next consideration for your new site. Once you have that sorted, you can install WordPress on your new hosting and point the domain there.
