Cancellation of Domain mapping

  I would like to request the cancellation of domain mapping of add-picture.com to adda-video.com. Can I please have a refund of $13 ?

  Hi Peter,

  I don’t see a domain mapping on your account for add-picture.com, but I do see that you recently renewed the domain adda-picture.com. Is that the one you’d like to cancel?

  Please keep in mind that canceling a domain means you give up ownership of that domain name. The domain name may not be released immediately, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to register it again in the future, so only do this if you’re sure you no longer want that domain name.

  If you’d like to keep the domain name but use it somewhere else, you can transfer it instead: Transfer a Domain to Another Registrar

  If you’d like to cancel that domain name completely, please reply to confirm — I can cancel it for you and refund your $18 renewal.

  Rachel,
  What I am asking for is for the $13 portion to be cancelled and refunded as I only wanted to re-register the domain name. However this did not seem to be an option when I renewed.

  Hi Peter,

  Domain registration and mapping are both required for domains registered here at WordPress.com, which is why the renewal was $18. You can see an overview of the cost of registering and renewing domains here: Domains

  The separate $13 domain mapping upgrade is only applicable if your domain is registered with a different domain registrar.
