Cancelled Domain

  I allowed my domain (www.accidentalitgirl.com) to expire with the intention of moving it to another blog hosting site if that makes sense? I thought I could let it expire and re register it with my new blog but it didn’t work…So i decided to completely cancel that domain on wordpress with the hopes that I could re purchase it and link it to my new website but it keeps saying that the website is already taken. Help! I have no clue what I have done and how to fix it and I don’t want my domain to be lost forever because of my ignorance. thank you so much in advance

  When domains are canceled, the registrar will hold onto them for some amount of time as an anti fraud measure. So you will need to wait a few weeks before you can register it again.

  If you like, I can try and reverse the cancellation. I will let you know if I am successful, it typically takes 12-48 hours.

  If successful, you will need to re-purchase the yearly domain registration. Then you will be able to use the domain here on WordPress.com or point your domain to a new webhost using these instructions:
