Cancelled domaoin mapping

    I have just accidentally cancelled domain mapping for retrouve-vintage.co.uk without getting the information I need to point the domain name to a different site. Please help – it’s quite urgent as the site is now down…

    Hi there,

    We can’t help you point the domain to another hosting provider. To do that you’ll have to contact your new hosting provider and get their name servers. Then you need to log in at your domain provider and add the name servers there. Neither of those require that the domain mapping upgrade is active on your site with us.

    Or do you mean you wanted to change the domain to a different site in your WordPress.com account? If that’s the case, you shouldn’t have cancelled it – we can easily move a domain between sites for you, but once you cancel a stand-alone mapping in your account, the only way to add it back is to purchase a paid plan.

    Please confirm if the latter was your goal here, then we can check if it’s still possible to restore the mapping upgrade to your account.
