Cancelled hostgator subscription.

  I cancelled my subscription on hostgator after I had renewed my subscription. I would like to know ow to get my domain name back

  My name is Christopher and I am contacting you as part of the HostGator Customer Service team.

  Your domain name is still owned by you, HostGator is just the registrar. You can still use your domain name and host somewhere else, you will just need to change the name servers within the Billing Portal. Here are some instructions on how this can be done: https://www.hostgator.com/help/article/how-do-i-change-my-dns-or-name-servers

  If you wish to move your domain name to a different registrar, you will need an EPP Key. You can find that within your Billing Portal, as well. Here are instructions on how to find it: https://www.hostgator.com/help/article/what-is-my-epp-code-or-authorization-key

  So the domain name is still owned by me. How do I get my website up and running again as I do not have any intent of moving to another web hosting platform?

  @akudokanu, please contact HostGator support directly at the link Christopher provided above. That way they’ll have immediate access to all your information and will be better able to help you get your site back up and running. If you post in our forums, they have no way to verify that they’re actually communicating with the account holder on their end.
