cancelling domain name and deleting site

  Hi, I am not going to renew my domain name and am deleting the site. Is there a way I can expedite the process, instead of waiting for the domain name to expire in two months?

  Hi Devin,

  I can cancel your domain ahumandesignperspective.com for you, if you’re sure you no longer want it.

  I just want to make sure you know that canceling a domain means you completely give up ownership of the domain. There is no guarantee the domain will become available to re-register after cancellation, either at WordPress.com or with another registrar.

  If you would like to completely cancel your ownership of the domain name, please reply to confirm and I can take care of that for you.

  Thanks for confirming, Devin. I cancelled the domain ahumandesignperspective.com for you, so you’re all set with that.

  If you’d like to also delete the site, you can do that from Tools > Delete Site in your dashboard. Please keep in mind that deleting a site is permanent and can’t be undone, and the site’s free WordPress.com address will no longer be available for you or anyone else to use in the future. We have more about that here: Delete Site
