Cancelling Domain that was already cancelled / can't directly contact support.

    I have an account over a year old that has been cancelled but I’m still being billed for the domain via WordPress.

    I know the domain, but I do not know what account I used to sign up for and I can’t recover it as I don’t know what email I used.

    I would appreciate an actual email instead of a forum post if I could so I can recover my account and also go forward with looking into the extra billing after it was already to be cancelled.

    There are no sites or subscriptions associated with the account you’re using to post here. Do you know the domain you’re being billed for?

    If you’re not sure what site the charge is for, please search for it at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/.

    You’ll be able to use the Contact Us link on that page to contact our billing support team directly for further help with this – to track down the transaction, we’ll need to get some additional information from you, which we cannot discuss here in the public forums.

    Just tried filling out the form and it was paid for via Paypal.

    Is there a direct support contact link that is not direct to a forum?

  • You should see a link to contact our Billing support directly after filling the form. That link would create an email ticket.

    It brings me back to a forum only contact method.

    I have directly emailed that address twice this week and been trying to contact someone since Dec 24.

    Is there another address I need to try? Or even a helpdesk?

    Out of curiosity, what is the domain you are being billed for? We’re limited in how we can help here in these public forums (we can’t safely discuss most billing issues for privacy reasons) but we may be able to look into the domain to check on status that way.

    I don’t see any emails that you have sent us using this address, the one you have listed your account under: https://wordpress.com/me/account/

    Is it possible you are contacting the billing team using a different email address than the one you have listed there? If so can you let us know what it is so we can look into it that way as well? Thanks for the additional info!

    I am not posting it, or my billing info publicly.

    I was told to email billingsupport@wordpress.com

    and I did.

    I don’t have my old login as I cancelled my old account, but I’m still being billed for my domain.

    Please let me know a proper way, beyond forums, to contact support as that email address has not replied to me – and I do not have filters on that account.

    I also tried contacting support, as mentioned above – and it brought me back to the forums, as I am on a free account trying to contact support

    Please let me know a proper way (or check spam/filtered emails) so I can cancel this as this is just drawing me closer to a paypal dispute with multiple posts.

    I’ve already started a dispute – 2 weeks of forum posts and also multiple emails to billing with zero movement. Thanks anyway.

    We’d be more than happy to look into this for you, but we need more information in order to do so. Is it okay for us to contact the email connected to the account you are contacting us from?

    Again, I have already started the dispute because there was no way to contact a human without going through forums for 2 weeks. When I did receive an email I did not receive any reply.

    The dispute has already been started, you can now check the information out via Paypal – please stop responding.
