Cancelling my domain

  Hi there,

  I would like to cancel my domain hosting subscription as I would like to register the domain at a different service.

  Are you referring to lichnova.com? If so, this expired on July 14, so the registrar was holding it. We were able to recover it without any additional fees.

  At this point, there are two options:

  1. I have sent an invoice for the $26 to the email address on your account. Once paid, I’ll restore the domain to your account, and you can transfer it to another registrar following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#transfer-to-another-registrar

  2. I could return the domain to its expired state, at which point it will return to being the registrar’s property and will be released to the public market at their discretion, which can take up to 90 days.

  If you do pay the invoice, please let us know the receipt ID so we can restore the domain to your account.

  If you’d like to proceed with option #2, please let us know.

  Hi there, thank you very much for the speedy reply. I would like to return the domain to its expired state please, I just wasn’t sure what was happening but now I understand. Thank you!
