Cancelling Self Hosting

    For the past year I have self hosted my blog through Siteground. I have decided to cancel that for financial reasons and would like to just use the free plan through wordpress.com. I have cancelled the self hosting and it is due to expire on the 22nd April. I have backed my site up just in case but I was wondering would I automatically be able to use the wordpress free plan or would I need to set my site up again?

    Hi –

    You can use a free WordPress.com site at any time. No worries, there.

    These are the steps to set that up.

    You can import the content of your old self hosted site on to the WordPress.com one.
