Cancelling site after transferring domain to wix

    I have created a new site with Wix and have transferred the domain. I now can not login to my wordpress admin to cancel the site it simply keeps saying it doesn’t exist although it’s still number 1 on google using wordpress. Obviously this is not the site as I can get onto this one. Please help.

    Hi there,

    The only sites under your @thediaryofasoberbackpacker` WordPress.com account when I check on our end is this one:

    https://thediaryofasoberbackpacker.wordpress.com/

    However, that site seems totally accessible and is I think not the site you are referring to since it does not really have any content and has not been in use for almost 8 years.

    Is it possible you created your site under a different login?  Is it the case that you are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?

    Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

    Hi,

    Thanks for getting back to me.

    The site is Arbor Green Nursery. My friend who owns the nursery asked me to design a new website for them and as I know Wix I designed it there.

    However, I didn’t want to cancel anything with WordPress for them until we had the Wix site up and running. I have now swapped the domain address to the Wix site and since then no one ( I or my friend) can not login to Arbor Green Nursery Admin to cancel the wordpress site or even ask for help so I used this old login of mine which to be honest I had forgotten about to ask for help.

    If i go to google the wordpress site is still at the top of the page and when you click on it you obviously get nothing. Where as if you type in the actual web address you get my new site. I just want to delete the wordpress site if you can help that would be amazing.

    Hi there,

    Is arborgreennursery.com the site you’re referring to? If it is, then your site was not hosted by us (WordPress.com). It was using the open-source WordPress software and it was hosted elsewhere. Therefore, you need to contact your previous hosting provider regarding your issue.
