Cancelling WordPress Account

  I have just been charged a renewal for my WordPress account and do not wish to continue with it. Please cancel my account and reverse payment made, August 7, at 4:59 p.m., with my PayPal account. Thank You.

  Hi there,

  The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com, and you’ve never purchased an upgrade from us – we don’t have any payment info on file for you.

  Do you have any other WordPress.com usernames, or can you please give the URL of the site for which the upgrade was renewed? I’ll need you to reply here as the username in whose account the upgrade appears in order to process a refund.

  @northk2 that domain is not registered here, and we don’t have any upgrades associated with it. If the charge came from us, can you head to wprchrg.com and enter details there? It’ll help you see what account the charge was for, and when you have that information you can share it here. Don’t share the transaction ID though since this is a public forum.

  I do not understand all this. There was some involvement with HostGator when I was attempting to set things up.
  A renewal fee was taken from PayPal.
  I am sorry I am so thick when it come to understanding the technical side of this.

  @northk2 if you’ll respond to our email with your request for cancellation, we can take care of it there. We need authorization from that address, or from that account while you are logged into it.

  I am sorry but this is not helpful. I have 2 email addresses that are active right now. One is the northk2 and the other starts with drk2. if you are referring to another email I no longer have it.
  As the charge for the upgrade was made through PayPal is there not a way to go in that direction?

  I don’t see any upgrades on your “hobiewhann” account. If you’ll respond to the email where we sent your receipt, you can ask to cancel there, since we’ll have enough information to find your account and authorize the cancellation.
