cancelling/deleting my site

I have already cancelled my account with BlueHost. What do I need to tell WordPress? Thanks for your help.

If you would like to delete your WordPress.com site, there are options and instructions for doing so here:

Dear Rootjosh,
Is there anything wrong with doing nothing? I cancelled my blue host subscription, made a backup and saved to my computer. I would not use the same name as everybody in the world is using the word “bespoke” and it has become a cliche. What do you think I should do. All my effort is going into writing essays, short stories, that kind of thing. I really loved doing this, was amazed I could do it myself, but I can’t do both. Thanks for your help. L. -

To change blog visibility to Private go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 .

There is nothing particularly wrong with doing nothing. But you may wish to follow thistimethisspace’s advice and set it to private. Or you can just leave it public if there is nothing there that you object to having available.

Well, I am still confused. Since I cancelled BlueHost, the site no longer exists, does it? And the domain name can be picked up by someone else, can’t it? No one can see the site anymore, can they? I ended up being annoyed by the domain name I chose as there are way too many people using the word “bespoke.” It has become a cliche. Thanks, L.
