Cannot access sharing stats from before I bought the domain.

  I bought the domain but now I cannot see how many Facebook shares my original post had. Is there a way to access these metrics?

  Facebook bases that data on the URL of the post. So when the URL is changed, it doesn’t see the page as being the same page it was previously and resets the sharing counter.

  Facebook doesn’t provide a way to sync and old/new URL and combine sharing stats. I suspect this is done to prevent fraud. But no matter what the reason on their end, there is nothing we can do about it on our end.
