Cannot Access Site

I have gotten the admin password from the owner of the site for maintaining it, after their web designer got resigned. I did a plugin update and the site cannot be accessed anymore showing a critical error whenever you try to visit anything on it.
I’ve contacted the owner to request the ftp login and world4you login, which is the host of it, as I don’t know where the recovery email was sent, if it did, as it wasn’t sent to the owner of the site. I’ve gotten the ftp login and whenever I try to login via ftp the access is denied. The data could be corrupted on the site.
What can I do in such a case? I am completely locked out of the site and don’t have access to the host of it as I didn’t receive the host login data for ftp access through it in order to fix the critical error that it displays.Summary:
I only have the admin and ftp password sent directly to me, not the host login data.
The email which was listed on the site didn’t point to the owner, so we can’t use the recovery email, the only way is to fix it manually.
No login data works, ftp doesn’t work, I have no access to the site.
My only hope is maybe that wordpress staff can fix this by trying to access the site and recover the login ability, this is the only way for me to contact the wordpress staff apparently.WP.com: Unknown

To get help with that you need to contact the site’s hosting provider which appears to be World4You.
We’re WordPress.com a different hosting provider. We use the WordPress software to power the sites on our platform just like other hosting providers do.
