new user, untrained and dangerous! Tried to update two widgets on existing site, selected Publish, now cannot get into site with admin sign on and site is not available on web. I need WordPress support!! HELP!!

Are you hosted with another provider, like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, or similar? Those providers also offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here. Because of this we are not able to help with your issue as it lies outside of our system. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.
however, there is a support forum for the other version of the WordPress platform. You can find support for your self-hosted WordPress site here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
