Cannot Connect Custom Theme To Site

    I signed up for a wordpress account and bought a premium theme. However, when I log in, the theme is connected to the wrong site. WP generated two sites that were not my actual domain and it is tied to one of those sites. My domain is myrefuge.com and WP tied the theme to myrefugedotcom.wordpress.com & myrefugecom.wordpress.com. I didnt set up these domains so I have no idea where they came from.

    Hi there, It seems that both myrefugedotcom.wordpress.com and myrefugecom.wordpress.com have been deleted.

    myrefuge.com looks to be a parked domain at Network Solutions. Were you wanting to use that domain here on WordPressdotcom with the Premium theme you purchased here? If so, you will need first to register a site with a wordpress.com address, then Staff will be able to transfer the Premium theme you purchased here to that site. Finally, in order to map your custom domain myrefuge.com to your mysite.wordpress.com, you’ll need to purchase one of our upgrade plans https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    If you have paid hosting at Network Solutions where you want to use that Premium theme and domain name, you’ll want to request a refund here for the Premium theme and then purchase the ORG version of the theme directly from the theme author.

    Regardless, I’ve gone ahead and tagged this for Staff help. Thanks for your patience while waiting for their reply.

    Just also noting that if you’d only need to purchase the Premium plan separately if you go with the Personal upgrade plan. If you purchase either the Premium or Business plan upgrade, those plans have access to all Premium themes as a part of the upgrade.

    I’ve checked your account and both myrefugecom.wordpress.com and myrefugedotcom.wordpress.com have been deleted. I can also see you have cancelled and refunded the premium theme Aquene. There is a copy of the refund receipt in your Billing History:

    These would have been created if you tried to add a site to your account. Every site has a free WordPress.com address and you can choose to add a custom domain (myrefuge.com) after the site has been created.
