Cannot connect to MailChimp Pop-up

  I’m using the free version of WordPress and have added the code from MailChimp into the Widget. MailChimp is unable to connect to WordPress and it appears to be an issue on WordPress’ end. This has been an issue for months and was not an issue when it was first set up last year.

  Hi jggreenthinking,

  and have added the code from MailChimp into the Widget.

  I’ve checked mainegreenthinking.wordpress.com and the Subscriber pop-up code you’ve pasted doesn’t look quite right (it should start with <script type).

  There is a screenshot of the type of code you need in this documentation:

  Could you try copying the code over from MailChimp again using those steps?

  When I paste the link in, the <Script type) disappears. There doesn’t seem to be a way to make it stay. Is there a trick to this or might this be an internal issue?
