  Hello! I am having trouble creating posts, editing the site, and accessing analytics info. When I sign in and clack “add post”, I just see a white page, and have no options for actually creating anything. Any thoughts? I’ve tried being invited as an author to the site via a different email address, but that didn’t work. I have also used different computers and different browsers. Thanks!

  The account you’re currently logged in to only has subscriber access to the site.

  To be able to edit content on the site, you’ll need to be promoted to an Editor or higher by the site’s Administrator: https://wordpress.com/support/user-roles/#changing-user-roles

  Hi! Thank you for responding! So right now I am an author — just to clarify, is an Editor different from that? If I was invited to join the site as an author will I need to be re-invited as an Editor?

  Hi there!

  Yes, Editor and Author user roles are pretty different. You won’t have to be re-invited, though. You can ask the site administrator to change your user role from Author to Editor. You can send this link to the site administrator and ask them to follow the steps there: https://wordpress.com/support/user-roles/#changing-user-roles
