Cannot login to my website’s /wp-login page
-
Hello,
I have set up a WP.com and a WP.org account (I know they are separate entities) My login information for both of them are the same. Now I can log in to the dashboard at WP.com and WP.org, my credentials work, everything is peachy. But when I try to access mywebsite.com/wp-login it says my email or username to login does not exist?
I don’t understand why this is happening?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Because your admin login for your self-hosted website is a third, completely separate account.
The login credentials for that account exists only in your site’s database on your hosting provider’s servers, and would have been generated when you first installed the WordPress software with them. And while your site is using the WordPress.org software, it has no connection whatsoever to the WordPress.org website – your account on WordPress.org only allows you to post in their forums or to contribute to discussions or bug reports for that software, nothing more.
For help changing those credentials, please ask in the WordPress.org forums in https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
However, I would NOT recommend using the same credentials for WordPress.com, WordPress.org and your site. Using the same password for more than one account is a very bad idea from a security perspective, and should really never be done for any reason.
If you don’t want to have to remember a separate password for your site’s admin account, rather consider installing the Jetpack plugin on your site. That plugin creates a connection between your site and your WordPress.com account, which will allow you to log into the site’s WP-Admin automatically simply by being logged into WordPress.com.
