Cannot map domain transferred from Wix to WordPress account

  I transferred my domain from Wix which is no longer showing that it is managing my domain http://www.eatingthroughmyworld.com and when I try to map my domain to my wordpress site, it says that it already is mapped to another wordpress.com site! When I type in http://www.eatingthroughmyworld.wordpress.com, it is redirected to a Wix generic page stating “wanting to connect your domain”. I spoke with Wix and they confirmed (as do my account online) that they no longer are managing my domain and as I mentioned, it states that it’s already mapped to a WordPress site! I can only imagine that it is mine since it’s not linking to anyone else’s, but pointing back to Wix! What do do??? Kindly help.

  Hi there!

  Can you confirm where you transferred your domain to? WordPress.com does not accept incoming transfers of domains. Did you transfer it to another host like GoDaddy or Network Solutions?

  Thanks for reminding me of this as I did the transfer some time back and looked at my godaddy account to find it there. I sorted the problem out thanks.
