Cannot publish any pages. I do not receive emails from WordPress.

I am being unable to publish any pages. As I try to do so, I get a message saying WordPress has sent an email to my account (not public), but I never get it at the account associated with my profile (I have already checked the Spam folder and the other ones, as well). It also gives me the option of sending this email to a different email account, but, as I try to change the address in my profile, it does not accept this change. Can you please help?
