Cannot Recover Website Due to Previous Developer

  Hello,

  My client came to me to recover his old wordpress website done about 5-6 years ago by another developer. The domain and wordpress site are tied together and he does not have the credentials to access it.
  
  He has proof that he is the business owner. How can I retrieve the site for him? I cannot find any type of resource out there only the Account Recovery but it just wants me to reset the password.
