Cannot submit URL to Google Webmaster Tools – Robots.txt error

    I cannot seem to submit my new blog to Google, as there is a robots.txt error under my Google Webmaster Tools. Apparently my pages are blocked.

    How can I get this fixed? I have ‘launched’ the page through WordPress, and it is visible when typing the URL directly, but can’t seem to solve this.

    Hi there,

    Looking at when you created this thread, it looks like you tried to submit your sitemap just after you had set the site to public. While the robots.txt file would immediately have been updated, it would have taken some time for your site’s cache to refresh and the new version of the file to actually become accessible.

    As it’s now been two days that will have happened already, so try submitting your sitemap again.

    However, also note we do this for you automatically if your site is set to public:
