Cannot upload images because of security reasons?

Every time I try and upload a jpeg file I get this error: Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons. I’ve checked to make sure the file type and size are okay, and I don’t know what the issue could be.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Can you please clear your cache and cookies?
If you’re still getting an error, can you please copy the entire error message and past it here?

Hi,
Thanks for responding! I cleared my cache and cookies and I’m still getting an error. The entire error message is: “Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.”

Can you send me the full name of the file you’re trying to upload?
And if you have a Dropbox or Box account, can you upload it there and send me a link so I can see the actual file?

The file name is: LOAJP.jpeg
Here’s a Dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/sc/t0d5wqaz73o9gpq/AAAb6grPMnv2V6uYDlWMmkdDa

Thanks so much for that information!
I downloaded the image and tried to upload it to my test site. It looks like this image was originally a .TIFF file. Did you change the extension to .jpeg?
Because of the way images are encoded, just changing the extension won’t change the type of file the image is. In order for this image to truly be a jpeg file, you’ll need to open it in an image editor and save the file as a .jpeg file, or one of these other types of accepted image files:
jpg, jpeg, png, gif, pdf
Does that make sense? Let me know if I can clarify anything!
