Cannot use previously deleted wordpress.com sub-domain URL

  Hello, I previously used a wordpress.com sub-domain URL for a website, then deleted that site. I am making a new website and I am not able to use this URL, even though its landing page says it has been deleted. Can I possibly still use this URL?

  Hi bbarwick,

  Deleting a site permanently disables the WordPress.com address:

  Delete a Website

  While it won’t be possible to use the old address again, you can create a new site using a variation of that address.
