Can’t access blog dashboard after late url renewal
-
My blog seems to have disappeared (years of posts!) I figured out that I must have done something wrong when I renewed my domain registration, so I contacted Bluehost. We renewed the registration (it had expired a week ago and that’s why I couldn’t see it) and they said all of my data was there, so it should be back online in 24 hours. It’s been over 24 hours and WordPress and I can’t seem to access It via admin dashboard in WordPress. When I try wp-admin, I just get routed to a purchase page for my domain name (which I still own). Is there a different way to access my posts. My main concern is losing everything I wrote. Please tell me it’s not deleted!

It seems your site expired in june 2019 and is no longer yours, https://www.whois.com/whois/thebigpieceofcake.com. It’s now for sale by hugedomains.com for $1895.

Do you mean my WordPress site expired? Becaus my url auto renews in December. I got an email from Bluehost telling me that it expired and I had 21 days to renew or lose all of the data (my cc card had expired so the auto renewal didn’t go through). I renewed online (through Bluehost) and then talked to an agent via online chat to make sure I did it correctly. She said it could take 24 hours (it’s now been about 6 over that). I double checked and I got a confirmation email for the payment… Did something a expire on WordPress? I’m so confused.

This is the info I could find for your domain. Also http://www.thebigpieceofcake.com/ redirects to https://www.hugedomains.com/domain_profile.cfm?d=thebigpieceofcake&e=com.

Okay – I think I get it now. I assumed that Bluehost was renewing my domain. But that was just hosting. I was just given some direction on this that thankfully won’t involve re-buying my domain for $1,895.
Thank you so much for helping me figure that out. Clearly, this is not my area of expertise LOL.
