Can't access Theme
-
I recently took over this account – it is for a university students’ association with annually rotating administrators, created 7 years ago – and cannot access the theme/menus/appearance menu. It doesn’t appear on the dashboard or in my account settings. I suspect that this has been the case for potentially a few years but previous web admins have also not been able to figure out how to fix this. Anyone know how I can regain access to this?
ThanksThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
cannot access the theme/menus/appearance menu
It’s not clear what you are referring to here. At the wp-admin dashboard admin panel at the left, two of the menu items under Appearance are Themes and Menus. Is that what you are referring to?

The wp-admin Manage Themes page for the site https://ubcacsa.wordpress.com/ would be https://ubcacsa.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php.

Thanks for your response musicdoc.
In wp-admin there is no “Appearance” item on the left panel. It goes:
Home
Posts
Media
Links
Pages
Portfolio
Comments
Feedback
Profile
Tools
SettingsI clicked on the link and it gave me this message:
“The page you requested does not exist, or you do not have have the necessary privileges to access it.” :(Any other ideas? I need administrative control to edit parent pages and the theme. I really hope I don’t have to delete the account and start over again.

Hi there,
What do you see as your user role on that site on this page? https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs (You might need to enable the Role column on the screen options tab at the top right of that screen.) https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

Ahh, yes. I’m an editor. I guess I’ll have to see if I can hunt down the administrator who made the blog 7 years ago.
Cheers everyone!
