Cant Add a Menu/Menu Breaks

So, I am editing an old website, sarahyeager.com. It had a pre-existing menu but when I went to go edit the menu via Appearances > Menus, there is no menu and when I go to add a new menu, it wont save. I also tried adding or editing a menu via Customize > Menu and it said I didn’t have a menu. So, I added a new menu and it saved it which added to the pre-existing menu that I can edit or find in the first place. So now it’s just a long and obscure menu that I cant edit. How do I add/access/or edit my main menu with these issues in the way?
