Can't add a WordPress site to 'My Sites'

I’m trying to get a site to show up in the ‘My Sites’ section of my profile so I can edit it. The site was created by another person who is the admin; they made me an editor. However, when I access ‘My Sites’ it’s not there and I’m unable to add it. It is a WordPress site. I’m only given the option to either start a new site or to use Jetpack to connect to a non-Wordpress site. Any suggestions?

The blog I need help with is not – terrivegablog.wordpress.com. I don’t know why that shows up; it’s not even a thing. The site I want to add is TheSpiritualEarth.com

I also don’t see any pending invitations for your username on that site.
We cannot give you access to a site you don’t own and to which the owner did not invite you. Please contact the owner of that site and make sure they invited you using the correct username.

The admin to the site has told me that I was invited back in September and that I am a member. He has assigned me the role of editor. I think this is where the problem is. The site is not showing up as one of my sites. He has a screen shot that shows my user name as a member with editor status but it just isn’t showing up under my profile. I can only see the two sites listed prior.

The username, terrivegathespiritualearth, is not a user on that site, and has never been invited to that site. If you have another username, please log in as that account instead.
To provide any more help with this I’ll need the site owner to post in this thread. As your account is neither the owner nor a user on that site I cannot give you any more information in this case.

Hi @kamllc. Thanks for posting here.
Please double check under My Site ->People. The username you added as an editor to the site is territhespiritualearth. That is a different account than terrivegathespiritualearth that created this thread.
That means either Terri is logged into the wrong account, or you invited the wrong account. But terrivegathespiritualearth is not a user on your site and will not be able to access the dashboard.
