Can’t add blocks, add button does not work

  I can’t add any blocks, the little add button doesn’t work, I can see it, but it’s not clickable. My wordpress.org is up-to-date, version 5.1. I’m wondering if my theme is not compatible with the new gutenberg editor? I have even downloaded elementor and find it difficult to use when trying to publish a post.

  Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We cannot help with this in the WordPress.com forums.
