Can’t add members-invalid email
-
When I try to add my students as authors to this blog, it tells me that their emails are invalid. I’m assuming this is because: a) the email addresses end with “.qc.ca” rather than just “.ca” and/or because there is a period between the first and last names before the @. The super weird thing is–I entered a different class as authors this morning on the same blog and it worked no problem. Any workarounds here?

I came across the same issue. My working theory is that the e-mail of the user to be added needs to be associated with an existing WordPress account. Just e-mailed my friend who I am trying to add and will have him create a WordPress account. I’ll let you know if it works.

Just confirmed the theory: I entered an alternate email address (which WordPress told me was invalid). Then created a WordPress account for that address, after which time I no longer get the “invalid email” validation error when trying to add. Pretty annoying, but hopefully that helps!
