can't add thumbnail images and its driving me crazy!

  I’m currently using the columnist theme. Here is what they have to say about adding thumbnails to posts… Linky Type Thing

  The post thumbnail image is 140 pixels wide and 180 pixels high. Similar to the hero image, you can define the thumbnail image by entering the URL in the custom field titled: ‘Thumbnail Image (140×180)’.

  Ok…couldn’t find it in my posting options so searched wordpress guidance and came across this – Another Link

  The basic gist of this is that its in the insert media / images options when writing a post, IF the theme allows for it. Now clearly the theme is saying it allows for it, but the option isn’t there.

  Any ideas where I’m going wrong? Gladly appreciate any advice.

  How big are the images you’re inserting? They will need to be bigger than that to trigger the Thumbnail option.

  Note also that tons of people are reporting difficulty uploading images today. If this trouble appeared only over the weekend, it could be related.

  Hi

  I don’t know if its related or not, I only started using this theme at the weekend and still trying to go through the functionality.

  The way its being described is that you try to add an image (which i can do) and one of the options is the size, ie thumbnail etc. But only if your theme allows for thumbnails. The option isn’t there, but the theme says it allows for it?
