Cant add twitter follow button

  I am trying to add the twitter follow button to my web site.
  I have added the correct code to a txt widget on the side bar but it doesn’t show the button just the txt code.
  Please help!

  Did you follow the guide which is for free hosted WordPress.com blogs?
