Cant buy a domain name, manditory creditcard?

    I was so happy to see that I can buy my domain name through paypal. So I uploaded money to my account and wanted to buy a domain name…now it says I cant I have to attach a creditcard to my paypal… I was not aware of this, it has not been made clear. I dont have a credit card and I wont get one. (To dangerous for me!)

    I am now not able to buy a domain name through wordpress? I am a bit dissapointed I dont use Paypal for anythin else.

    Hi there,

    Paypal sometimes requires that you link a credit card to your account in order to make purchases, even if you are paying with the balance from your Paypal account. That requirement comes from Paypal and isn’t something WordPress.com can change.

    If you have a friend or relative with a credit card, you may want to see if they can help you make that purchase.
