Can't change email address – already in use, so I can't delete the old website.

  I’m trying to delete the wordpress page I have:
  https://southwestbcchapter.wordpress.com/

  But, when I try to update my email to delete the webpage permanently, I keep getting the phrase “email address already in use”.

  I’m exasperated as to what to do!!!
  My old email address that I registered with the website: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  My updated email address which is somehow already registered is: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  Paul.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Since the account you are posting from is the owner of the site, I can help you with that.

  Please confirm that you understand that deletion is a permanent action. Once deleted, all data associated with that site will be gone forever.

  In addition, please bear in mind that once deleted, that site’s WordPress.com URL will become permanently unavailable for future use. If you feel that you might need that URL again in the future, you might want to choose a different option.
